As if out of the sun, White Buffalo Woman approaches, presenting the Sacred Pipe to the people. The redstone bowl, cradled in her left hand, symbolizes life's blood. The stem, symbolic of all plant life, is held with her right. The smoke, the breath of the Great Spirit. She revealed to the people, rest your feet upon the earth with the pipestem reaching skyward, your body becoming a living bridge between the Sacred Beneath and the Sacred Above, and thus you will "Walk like a Living Prayer."
